While the Felco C7 cutters are known for their remarkable blade hardness, these cutters the, C2, are rated 10% harder. This hardness will extend the life of the tool considerably when used it to cut very hard wire or cable. The opening of these tools is limited to 1/10 inch (2.5 mm). This is achieved by the addition of a pin in the top blade that rides in the groove cut into the opposing blade. This is a very strong feature that will last for the life of the tool. When fully opened these tools have a handle spread of only 4 1/4 inches. This gives a very comfortable fit for even the smallest hands. Additionally the handle spring is softer than the C7 tool, making these tools much easier to close.

Cutting capacity is only 1/10 inch (2.5 mm).
